About Hornbill Festival (Nagaland)
Dubbed the “Festival of Festivals,” the Hornbill Festival (held annually, December 1–10, near Kohima) is a spectacular cultural showcase where all 17 major Naga tribes converge at one place—the Kisama Heritage Village. A kaleidoscopic display of Naga traditions, including ancient warrior dances, folk music, indigenous games, traditional tribal Morungs (houses), and authentic Naga cuisine. It offers an unparalleled opportunity for cultural immersion and interaction.
Kaziranga National Park (Assam) : A thrilling safari segment in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kaziranga National Park, the prime sanctuary in Assam. This park is the world’s largest stronghold of the Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros. You will explore the grasslands and forests via Jeep and/or Elephant Safaris to spot the “Big Five”: the Indian Rhino, Asiatic Elephant, Royal Bengal Tiger (elusive), Wild Water Buffalo, and Eastern Swamp Deer, along with hundreds of bird species.
