About Hornbill Festival (Nagaland)
Dubbed the “Festival of Festivals,” the Hornbill Festival (held annually, December 1–10, near Kohima) is a spectacular cultural showcase where all 17 major Naga tribes converge at one place—the Kisama Heritage Village. A kaleidoscopic display of Naga traditions, including ancient warrior dances, folk music, indigenous games, traditional tribal Morungs (houses), and authentic Naga cuisine. It offers an unparalleled opportunity for cultural immersion and interaction.
