Adventurers will find thrills in Yala National Park with its dense wildlife population, including leopards and elephants. Tour Plan

Arriving at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport also known as Katunayake airport, you will be transferred to the hotel where you will meet and greet the crew and other members of the group. Followed by a briefing and later one can enjoy the interesting coastal town of Negombo. Overnight stay in Negombo. (Bikes to be allotted today in the evening)

Setting off from Negombo you will ride up to Kandy. En route you will stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where dozens of elephants come down to the river to bath each day. In Kandy you will visit first “Arthur’s seat” where you can perceive the territory beneath in the bird’s eye view including the Temple of Tooth. Most tourists prefer enjoying lunch or sip a drink nearby restaurant. Next we lead you to the Tooth Relic Temple which is supposed to be the most precious place of Buddhist people. Then you will have the opportunity to enjoy shopping in Kandy city and to walk around the Kandy Lake in the evening. Overnight stay in Kandy. 

After breakfast, you will be back on the bikes to visit Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. This beautiful garden is renowned for its flora and attracts more than 2m visitors annually. It is home to more than 4,000 species of plants including orchids, spices, herbal plants and palm trees. From Peradeniya you will ride up through tea estates to beautiful Hunas waterfall. Overnight stay in a hotel at Knuckles.

This will be the most adventurous day of the tour. You will ride through Knuckles Forest through cardamom plantation. There will be a stunning rural scenery of nature. After riding through forest, you will go off the beaten track into areas where few tourists ever see. As you climb higher and higher you will go deep into the dense mountain forest giving an atmospheric backdrop to your motor biking adventure. Overnight stay in a hotel at Knuckles.

You will be back on the motorbikes in the morning making way to Ramboda Falls Hotel. The landscape will continue to amaze you with tea plantations, lush mountains, steep precipices and waterfalls serving as the backdrop for your ride. You’ll stop off at Ramboda Falls, a series of 4 waterfalls fed by clear mountain springs. Overnight stay at Ramboda Falls Hotel.

After breakfast, you will set off to ride across the highest part of Sri Lanka’s mountain massif. You will visit a tea factory where you will get the chance to experience the tea making process and to sip a fresh cup of Ceylon Tea. Next you will visit Nuwara Eliya city, known as Little England by British Colonials where they used to stay here to escape from the scorching heat of the lowlands. In Nuwara Eliya you will get the chance to see several buildings with colonial era architectural style. Next you will saddle up again to another adventure ride to Horton Plains National Park, an UNESCO world heritage site which consists of ecosystems such as montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and aquatic ecosystem and also an endemic flora and fauna. You will hike in Horton Plains to visit the World’s End where the plateau comes to a sudden end, a stunning escarpment that plunges 880m. Next you will descend to Ella where you will stay overnight.

From Ella, the road snakes down through the mountains onto the great southern plains leading to the Indian Ocean coast. En route you will visit Ravana Fall and then head for the historic Buddhist rock carvings at Buduruwagala, You will ride directly to Tissamaharama via Buttala where you will encounter wild elephants who are addicted to be fed by humans. A great chance to feed them and to capture some good photos. Overnight stay night in Tissamaharama. 

Early in the morning you will do safari in Yala National Park which is a home for the mind-boggling variety of wildlife species from butterflies to leopards. Get up close to some of these exotic animals and marvel at the astounding beauty of Sri Lanka as you travel through the park in your jeep. Leaving the jungle to follow the majestic coastline of southern Sri Lanka you will reach Mirissa, one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay in beach hotel.

After our well-earned rest, you will head down south to the beaches of Sri Lanka. Firstly, you will visit Galle and ride though Galle Fort. This is a UNESCO World Heritage site and you will spend the day exploring the churches, the lighthouse, the maritime museum and the many interesting cafes and restaurants. Afterwards, you will proceed to Hikkaduwa, a seaside town in south-western Sri Lanka. It’s known for its strong surf and beaches lined with restaurants and bars. Once in Hikkaduwa you will enjoy an excursion to a turtle hatchery. Overnight in Hikkaduwa. 

After breakfast, we get on the bus/van to proceed to the Cruise Terminal. After a stopover at the Pearl Museum, we will be dropped at the terminal for our 2 Day 1 night cruise. After a week of motor biking, this much needed break from the saddle is the perfect end to your memorable Vietnam tour. While on the cruise your meals are included in the package along with adventure activities like hiking, cave walking, boating and kayaking.

Trip concludes after breakfast, you will be transferred to Colombo Airport to fly back home.

  • Booking Amount: INR 25,000/- or $300
  • Balance to be paid 45 days prior to departure date (Conversion rate to be considered at the time of payment)

  • Your passport should have minimum validity of 6 months from the duration of Sri Lankan stay
  • Valid Indian Motorcycle with Gear License is mandatory
  • No refund for unclaimed services
  • Refundable Security deposit of USD 150 in cash per bike extra

CANCELLATIONS

  • 45 days or earlier – full refund of the package cost only.
  • 44 to 30 days INR 10,000/- will be deducted and balance will be refunded.
  • 29 to 15 days 50% of the package cost only will be refunded.
  • 14 days or less no refund.
  • Full refund of the package cost only if the tour is cancelled by us.

Medical Disclaimer

  • It is mandatory that you visit your personal physician before enrolling for the trip if you suffer from any illness of any kind and disclose the same and your medical history to the organizers of the trip so that best possible arrangements can be carried out post approval. As organizers of the trip, we will be responsible for providing basic first aid throughout the trip. In case of unexpected mishaps or accidents, we will arrange for the injured patron to be taken to the nearest medical hospital wherever possible. The medical expenses will have to be borne by the patrons themselves

How does my family get update about my trek / tour ?

Before you start the trek / tour.  it is recommended that you make all the necessary phone calls as during the trek you may or may not receive network coverage, once you come back to the Base Camp, you can reconnect with your family via phone once again. You can share your trek coordinator contact detail with your family members to get the latest updates about your trek batch.

Is it safe for solo women?

  • It absolutely is. We recognize, value and embody the ideology that the world of outdoor adventure can benefit from diversity. We make it our mission to create outdoor spaces as equally accessible and safe for all genders as possible.
  •  We have women trek leader also in our team.  You might just have a woman trek leader
  • Our accommodation is separate for men and women. You will be sharing your tent / staying space with other women.
  • We ensure you e-meet your trekkers much before meeting them, in a pre-trek briefing as well as on a Whatsapp group. So you’re not meeting strangers on the trek. You already know them.
  • Our male trek leaders are also trained and sensitized to handle any situations sensitively, including your periods. You’re free to approach them for anything.

What do you do in case of emergency?

In addition to their qualification, our trek leaders are trained to tackle any and all kinds of sudden conditions that may present themselves on ground. During our recce stage, we study the trail in great detail and map out rescue routes before opening it up for our trekkers. We also have local support staff stationed in each area to arrange for emergency services at the place of need as quickly as possible.
